Thank you for your generosity and opportunity given to us
People of Indian origin who migrated to US are doing a phenomenal job. Whether they are working in software industry or having own motel or a sandwich shop , we have come a long way. We all know it is result of our intelligence, hard work and to a large extent our luck helped us to get where we are today. We acted miser, spent countless hours in finding deals and saved every penny we can. We forgot one important thing in the process. We owe something to this country which gave us a better life and where our children are growing.
Let us show to America we are here not just to enjoy fruits of developments but we do care for all the pain and sufferings.
We would like to raise money for other not for profit organizations involved in charity work dealing with social and economic issues we are facing today. Up to 25% of the money raised will be distributed to charity work in India.
We believe if we can help America become a great nation, it will help the whole world since so many still look towards America as a big brother and as an example.
“$ 1 per day donation makes no difference in my life but it will in someone's”
“Every time I spent lavishly on a party, birthday, wedding or anniversaries, I donate some”
“I do not and should not mind giving since I got all this what I have, luckily any way”
I was so happy when I got visa to US
But after coming here, I forgot I owe to this country which gave me and my children chance for a better life
I never cared for America
I always looked at my family’s interests. Bought a big house, threw parties on weekends and only discussed about green card and deals to save money
Internet, Weekend Parties & Homework
I spent most of my time during the day browsing Internet and planning for a weekend
I generally avoid eye contact with other
I never smile and really do not like attitude of Desi Indians here. And I never realized I am one of them.
Life without NFL, NBA, Wine or Star TV
I am not sure what would I have done without TV serials, sports, beer and wine
I always talk about India
Everything is so nice over there - weather, schools, education, culture. I never looked at good things here.
I work at local temple now a days
Never realized kids grew fast and we have nothing exciting left to do
My qualification - no one cared in India
With a little training & colorful resume I am a successful computer consultant now.
I watch TV coverage on natural disasters
Like earthquakes and tornados but never gave any penny to help them. Why should we pay for it, asks my spouse and I agree with it.
My biggest and only hobby is Internet
I hardly know any sports, not part of any fitness club and just know how to control my spouse and kids and saving every penny is my only objective.
My biggest qualification - live in US
My family and friends in India respect me just because I live in America irrespective of my work and qualifications.
